Over the years, we have integrated bluetooth hands free, music streaming, parking camera systems and more recently Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to pretty much every Aston Martin model to come out of the Gaydon factory. However, the ones that had defeated us have been the AMI II systems fitted to Generation 2 Vanquish 2013-17 and Vantage and DB9 models from 16 and 17MY. That is until today.
The infotainment system used in those cars was built by a brilliant British firm called Skyships, who have also built bespoke systems for Pagani amongst others. Although it still uses the Garmin based navigation system, that we have already had success with integrating stuff, it has proved quite a challenge to break into this one, so to speak, and add extra video inputs for front camera and/or CarPlay. We still have some development to do and I will update this post in due course. But, we are quite chuffed we have at last been able to cover these last pieces of the jigsaw.
Please get in touch with us to register interest and we will keep you in the loop and get you and your car booked in as soon as we can.
