Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
Gaydon era, VH platform cars are brilliant to drive and feature amazing design. However, the infotainment system now feels dated. While the navigation system led the market in its day, it lacks the benefits of modern machinery. Digital music streaming services have replaced the now obsolete CD and radio.
Mobile phone connectivity is a part of daily life. You can now extend this to your car with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. This system utilises your phone’s apps to provide navigation through Google, Waze, and Apple, including real-time traffic information. You can also access a host of music streaming services and international radio apps. Additionally, the system reads your text messages aloud and lets you dictate requests via Google Assistant or Siri. All of this is now available for your Aston Martin, with the added benefit of a navigation screen featuring twice the resolution of the original factory unit.
We have designed this entire kit for the simplest possible installation. It uses relevant vehicle connectors where applicable, and every individual plug and socket differs from the next to prevent errors.
We label or colour code all connectors and fuse holders. The downloadable instructions, which you can find here, refer to and indicate these clearly.
You do not need to disconnect the vehicle battery during installation. However, if you prefer to do so, please remember that you must reset the seats, windows, and radio following reconnection. You can find these procedures in the vehicle handbook.
